I noticed all my fellow sleep-deprived parents trying to caffeinate their way through a global pandemic had something in common.
A burning love / need of great Coffee.
I wanted to provide a coffee that didn't just taste incredible but also came with the right amount of kick to help my fellow parents survive parenthood et voila Sips Coffee was born.
Naturally, Sips has grown and expanded and we now offer a subscription of freshly roasted coffee beans sent through your door. And don’t worry, you definitely don’t have to be a parent to enjoy these tastes.
Not only do they provide the best of what coffee has to offer, they pursue ethical and transparent sourcing of their beans - something which makes such a difference in the world we live in today.
They say themselves, ‘ 97% of our volume is bought directly from origin through our own relationships, with our sourcing team travelling the world, creating and maintaining partnerships and ensuring our buying program delivers across the three pillars of economic, environmental and socially sustainable trade.
We work closely with co-operatives, private exporters, NGO’s and Indigenous Rights Groups to ensure that the coffees we sell are ethical, free from exploitation, and truly traceable.’
So in other words, skip the Fairtrade, this is really done properly. So whatever way you decide to have your cup of Sips, be assured that from its inception care, attention and heart has been poured into it. See it as your good deed for the day!
Coffee subscriptions mean you get the freshest roasted coffee delivered though your door
Sips Original Espresso Roast – Whole bean
£10.50
We have chosen this bean all the way from Brazil for the way it sings through espresso in a wonderfully well-balanced, full-bodied and chocolatey way.
This will taste amazing on its own as an espresso, but its fullness means it will taste chocolatey and beautiful over milk too. This is a bit of a hug in a cup, and perfect for those dark mornings as we draw into the colder months.
This coffee has been sourced by the team at Clifton Coffee from Fazenda Amapa. This farm is found in the municipality of Franca in Alta Mogiana, spanning over 430 hectares. This is a family-run coffee farm which, in its current second generation, functions exclusively to produce the finest coffee, employing over 150 people to do so.
Aside from providing a banging bean, the team at Amapa are passionate about pursuing environmentally sustainable processes in all they do, including forest preservation and soil management in order to preserve erosion.
We cannot take these processes for granted in the midst of a fast-paced coffee industry.
We hope this lends itself to a good old-fashioned sit down as you Make it a Moment.
