I started practising yoga around 18 years ago now when I was 14 years old.
Back then I didn’t really know what it was about yoga that I gravitated to, I just knew that something about it made me feel good from the inside out, it cultivated a sense of calmness in me and gave me the tools to cope with the external world.
Over the years my love and gratitude for the practice has grown, and this year I decided to take the leap, follow my heart and train to become a yoga teacher myself. So, here I am.
The daily practice of yoga continues to teach me so much because it's so much more than just the poses, it’s a mindset and a way of life.
Yoga has taught me how to really slow down and be mindful about my movement, how I speak, the way I align my actions and morals.
It's truly a journey, reaching beyond the ego and any notion of achievement or perfection. Just me, my mat and no expectations or judgment.
